Root and VanDoorn Garner Top Fives at Toledo

Scott Hantz won Friday's Gold Cup Outlaw Late Model event at Toledo Speedway (OH). Hantz dove under Johnny VanDoorn to take the lead, coming from his 11th starting spot in the inversion. Mike Root picked off VanDoorn and Harold Fair, Jr. to grab second by Lap 68 and could not reel in Hantz in the final laps. Fair was third, VanDoorn fourth and Derrick Griffin fifth.
