Bean Falbe - Arena Racing
The following is an email sent to me from Muskegon Arena Racing Driver Edward FalbeII after his first "Top Dog" win of the season.
Well things started off a little slow for us yesterday. we were a little late and missed the first two practice sessions. when we finally hit the track, the car felt good, the lap times just didn't indicate that. We ended up qualifying fourth. I noticed we kept losing air out of the right rear. After many efforts to try and stop the leak we finally put on a new tire. Mike Passenier kept up on the nuts and bolts and Rick Huisken and I kept tuning the car. Really we didn't do much, I think the driver was a little rusty from a month off. Our 4Th qualifying spot put us starting in the 8Th position in the a main. We made it up to 2ND and was able to apply some pressure to the leader but just couldn't get by him. In the "Top Dog" event we started 4Th and took the lead within the first 5 laps. It wasn't smooth sailing yet. On one of the many cautions I shut the car off and it didn't want to start back up. We were almost out of gas. Luckily we had enough in the tank to make it to the finish. I want to thank all my friends and family for coming out and supporting us. I was overwhelmed when everyone came down on the track. Sorry Heidi I thought you were in the crowd and didn't want your pic taken!! I did not know they stopped you at the gate and wouldn't let you through. Last but not least I would like to thank all the sponsors--Kerkstra services, ASImanufacturing, Winston Motor Speedway, A&M dental lab, Randy Ellen photos, JFK Machine, All Pro Towing, drive force graphics, and Huiskens Technologies. I know you've heard it before but without my crew, friends, family, and sponsors I wouldn't be able to continue racing.
Thanks again and see you next weekend.
Bean Falbe
