Prayers and Support Needed for the Peery Family

The loss of a loved one is one of the most trying things that can ever happen in life. When it is a child that is in the prime of their life the sadness is compounded.

On July 15th local Warrior Driver Jim Peery lost his 15 year old son Zach in a tragic drowning accident in Lake Missaukee in Lake City.

(Lake City High School Principal and varsity football coach Tim Peterson said he knew Peery as a student but more as an athlete as he was a three-sport star and ready to spend his first year on the varsity football team this fall.

"He was truly an amazing kid. He was so well-liked, so polite and such a competitor," Peterson said. "I’m having a hard time with this. It really questions your faith when something like this happens.")

Accident Report

It is my understanding Donations to help the Peery Family will be taken at Winston Speedway on Friday and Thunderbird Raceway on Saturday.
