Jeep Van Wormer Heads to Hartford Motor Speedway Tonight!

(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) The Iron Motorsports team had another busy weekend planned from May 27-29 with stops at three different venues in the states of Michigan and Ohio. On Friday night, the American Late Model Series (ALMS) sanctioned a $2,000 to win event at the Mount Pleasant Speedway in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Jeep Van Wormer won his heat race in preliminary action and later wound up an impressive second in the A-Main behind only winner Rusty Schlenk.

Following a rain-out of the $2,000 to win ALMS program on Saturday at the Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio, the #55 team trekked to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday. In the final tune-up prior to the upcoming $100,000 to win 'Dream 100,' Jeep suffered terminal motor problems in his heat race after timing in second fastest in his group during qualifying. Therefore, he was not able to advance into the feature event, which also paid $2,000 to the winner. With the 'Dream 100' looming on June 10-11, Jeep and the Iron Motorsports team have opted to stay close to home this upcoming weekend.
