The UMP Modifieds put a great show on for the fans at Winston. Some of the biggest names in West Michigan made their presence known. Twenty two Mods started the 35 lap feature. In the early going the front row starters of Walt Wisniewski and John McCaul raced bumper to bumper with McCaul at the point. Midway through the race Wisniewski jumped to the high side and raced McCaul door to door edging him at the flag stand. On lap seventeen lapped traffic came into play. As McCaul and Wisniewski were trying to clear a lapped car, contact with the lapper sheered a pan hard bolt on Wisniewski's rear end and also cut a tire. What looked like was going to be one of the biggest wins in Wisniewski's career instead left him in the pits wondering "What if". On the restart with 18 laps to go McCaul was left searching for a groove up front as Stan Dodds and Jacob Poel were all over his bumper. Dodds and Poel swapped the runner up spot three times in the last seven laps. McCaul finally settled in the low line with his BMS Chassis and raced his way to become a $1, 000 richer. Stan Dodds racing the car that McCaul raced in 2008 was able to hold off Poel at the line. Finishing fourth after charging his way from his mid-pack starting position was Mark Anderson. Dean Wilkerson completed the top five.
