Kody Weisner, from Muskegon, MI, took the green flag from the front row, drove against the wall in turns one and two to grab the lead in the first lap and held off a last turn pass attempt from veteran racer Tim Bowen as he drove the #1 stock car to the checkered flag. Weisner's wire to wire win is the first time the UNOH Motorsports team has won in the Thunderstock division and is the second win since the Motorsports team started racing in 2006. Weisner's car was strong all night and looked to be a contender when he drove from a seventh starting position to finish first in his heat race. Weisner credited his two checkered flags to his crew chief, Cody Bland, and crew members Steve Wilson, Sam Thomas, Corey Argus, and Charles Winslow.
