Checkered Flags: Zeeland's Andrew Nylaan the driver to beat in Berlin's Super Stock division

Marc Kurth, Gaylord
Kurth won his second consecutive Modified feature race this past weekend at Merritt Speedway. He also won the May 21st main at Cherry Raceway. A year ago, Kurth won a combined 17 feature races at the two tracks.
Andrew Nylaan, Zeeland
Nylaan has established himself as the driver to beat in Berlin Raceway’s Super Stock division after capturing Saturday night’s 50-lap feature race. Nylaan has won the season’s first two features.
Phil Veldheer, Holland
Veldheer set the International Hot Rod Association world record this past weekend at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin. Veldeheer went 10.77 seconds at 121.06 mph in his 1969 Camaro, breaking his own record (10.82, 120 mph) set three years ago.
Cory Burch, Stanton
Burch won Flinn Stock feature races Saturday and Sunday at Crystal Motor Speedway. Burch has top-five finishes in six of seven feature starts, including four victories, a second and a third.
Ed Newman Jr., New Lothrop
Newman is the two-time defending Street Stock champion at Dixie Motor Speedway, and he appears to be the driver to beat once again. Newman won his second feature win of the season last weekend.
