Todd Cowan News

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 11, 2009

Grand Rapids, MI. – West Michigan racecar driver Todd Cowan announces schedule updates. The dirt modified pilot will compete at the Crystal Motor Speedway in two appearances in September in the IMCA modified division. In both appearances Todd will be driving the “XL” car owned by long time friend and competitor Tim Lytle. The “XL” car is so named because instead of having traditional numerical identification on the side of the car, it is identified by the letters X and L. The first appearance for Todd at the Crystal Motor Speedway will be on September 5th; the IMCA Modifieds will share the bill at the Michigan speed plant with the high flying SOD sprint cars. Todd’s second race at Crystal will be on September 19th for the famed Great Lakes Nationals. The Great Lakes Nationals is the highest paying race for IMCA Modifieds in the state of Michigan and will bring out some heavy hitters in dirt modified racing. Todd is excited to get back to Crystal, the track was considered to be his “home” in previous race seasons. Todd and the XL team plan to use the September 5th race to help dial in the car’s set-up to help assure that Todd and the XL car can compete for the crown at the Great Lakes Nationals on September 19th.
