What A Night!
Although Mother Nature was tapping the track officials on the shoulder all night long, we managed to get all of the events in the book by 11:05. The night was sponsored by Royston Auto Sales. Doug McKeown, Sr. edged out Mike VanderMark Jr in the Smokers Club of Mt Pleasant Street Stock division and then Mark Andersen pulled out a heart stopper in the KFC Late Models. The Flinn Stock division was another super exciting race as Randall Stevens tried to pull an "Evil Kneivel" ramp jump and barrel roll coming into turns one and two for lead in the early going. Stevens was ok. Jeff Daniels brought home the win after a very exciting race.
Jack Emmons lead most of the first half of the Port City Pro Stock feature but was overtaken by Vern Buskirk who cruised on to the win. The Engine Pro IMCA Mod race was taken by Brennan Bowen for his second straight feature win. The final event of the night was the Port City Pro Trucks and after a great battle between Scott Nieman and Mike Kresnak, Kresnak went home with his fifth feature win of the season.
