Erik Jones has been using his 2012 season to develop his skills, transitioning from his ARCA Racing Series car and his CRA Late Models. Half way through his 10 race ARCA Season, Jones feels like he has adapted and is ready to take on some more Super Late Model races. So, for the 4th of July the Erik Jones Racing team will be traveling to Jefferson, Georgia to compete in the World Crown 300.

“Running in the ARCA Racing Series has been a lot of fun and I’ve learned a lot,” said Jones. “But, I am looking forward to getting back in the Super Late Model. That is definitely my favorite car to drive and I think we have a really good chance at the World Crown 300.”

Last year, Jones used the World Crown 300 as his debut in a Super Late Model. The 2011 JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour Champion proved that his success is pure talent as he finished in the top 5 for all three segments of the race.

“Last year at the World Crown we had a really good car. I’m hoping we can capitalize and improve the car during each segment of the race and be there in the end.

Festivities for the Commerce Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram 29t Annual World Crown 300 begin on Tuesday, July 3 with a full evening of practice. Things then pick up on Wednesday, July 4 with practice beginning at 12pm, followed by qualifying at 3:45 pm, and racing at 7:00 pm. Fans can follow all the racing action on Speed51.com.
