MARNE — Due to low temperatures and possibilities for rain and snow, the events for April 28th at Berlin Raceway have been postponed.
Originally on tap for this Saturday was the Coors Light Super Late Models, Engine Pro Super Stocks, Model Coverall Modifieds, Kerkstra Services Sportsman and Burnips Equipment 4 -Cylinders. There will only be a make up for the Coors Light Super Late Models.
The original $1 beer and hot dog promotion has been moved to Saturday, May 5 for our big lap 100 Port City Racecars / Great Lakes Helicopter Outlaw Late Model night.
Since the opener of the Coors Light Super Late Model division has been postponed they will run twin 75-lap features on Saturday, May 19th, which will also feature a full night with $1 beer and hot dogs! Both 75-lap features will be points events.
"In an effort to not freeze out the fans and competitors we have decided to go ahead and postpone the events for this weekend," stated Berlin Raceway General Manager Mike Bursley. "We have an action-packed schedule and some higher paying events with some drivers traveling a few hours to get here. Between those drivers, their travel time and expenses and our local drivers and fans freezing out we decided it was the right choice to make. On the bright side, next week's temperatures are already looking up for next week's races."
Back in action next week Berlin Raceway will kick off the month of May with $1 beer and hot dogs featuring a 100 Lap Port City Racecars / Great Lakes Helicopter Outlaw Late Model feature event. Also seeing action May 5 will be the Engine Pro Super Stocks, Model Coverall Service Modifieds, Kerkstra Services Sportsman and Burnips Equipment 4 -Cylinders.
