Lake Odessa, Michigan (Wednesday, June 29th, 2011): The Fourth of July Holiday Weekend is upon us at I-96 Speedway as the Lake Odessa, Michigan speed plant will celebrate the Holidays with the Fourth of July Holiday Night of Destruction THIS Saturday, July 2nd. Co-Owners / Promoters, Mike and Sarah Mouch look to celebrate our nations 235th birthday in style by tearing stuff up and getting a little crazy as the West Michigan Off-Road Derby will headline the night's festivities.

The West Michigan Off-Road Derby (WMOR) isn't just another off road race; it is an outdoor action packed, family friendly experience! WMOR is about entertaining and filling the night with excitement. If you have been to other off road races, derbies, or demolition derbies and thought it wasn't for you, try WMOR. They are a family owned, family run, off road racing series.

Based in Hudsonville, Michigan, WMOR puts on about 10 events per year. Races are on dirt tracks with 8-12 drivers in each heat and each event consisting of several heats plus a consolation race, semi-finals, finals and Powder Puff racing. Drivers race cars that were previously driven (legally) on the road, but are now stripped down and reinforced to be able to take a pounding, and be as safe as possible when smashing into one another.

In addition to the West Michigan Off-Road Derby, there will be a School Bus Race, a School Bus Demolition Derby, a Gauntlet Race, Trash Can Bowling, Spectator Drags with $150 going to the winner, and a HUGE FIREWORKS display to wrap up the evening.
