Hi guys. Yesterday was a rough day. Kevin Buskirk has been laid to rest. His family can now begin the greiving process. There are so many things to worry about as Kevin was a working father and now that he gone so is his income. It's impossible for me to imagine losing my husband and the the father of my kids, let alone to have to worry about financial issues such as how to pay the mortgage and the bills without him as well. We are really trying to help this family, and I know that times are tough for everyone right now, but I think it would be great if we could all pull together to help a fellow racing family in there time of need. They have not asked for anything. This is not something that they have implied that they want in any way, but we know it is a situation that needs attention. Our world of Outlaws show bought in thousands of people that never met Kevin or his family. It brought drivers to our track that are sometimes even difficult to get an autograph from, but when they heard about Kevin's family, they all opened their hearts and helped to raise an almost $3,000 in just a 10 minute walk through the grandstands. I would hate to think that perfect strangers to Kevin's family could out do the people who knew him and spent every Saturday in his presence. We are still looking for donations for the silent auction. ANYTHING would be great. Autographed t-shirts, posters, anything at all. They are all going to attempt to get back into their jobs. I can only imagine how hard it is going to be for Brandi to sit in that score tower and look down at the empty spot where he husband should be. If you can not donate, perhaps you can stop into the pit concession stand and offer Shannah your condolances.

This was a very sad day when the family lost Kevin. I would like everyone to know that Kevin also had a daughter by the name of Allison Hanley. She was not his biological daughter but he did raise her and she looked at him as her father. It would be very appreciated to see everyone recognize her as she has been left without much of any support due to her not having the same name. Shannah is her biological sister. Kevin also had a son named Austin. I hope these children of his get the help and support they need. Brandi should really re-think her recent actions and put these kids first!
